I can't really say much about the "Skin", because I haven't used one yet. I purchased a Zen Stone for my niece for her birthday last September and by February it had stopped working. She brought it to me and I went online and updated the software and reformatted it and it works fine. How long will it last, I don't know, but, I guess I'll just do what I have to do to my computer sometimes, do a little upgrading and cleaning.
